Simon Mvunabandi

We are proud to honor Simon as an outstanding ORI student. Simon has a very strong academic record - he was the top ORI scorer for the 2008 academic year at the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology, where he studies computer science. In 2008, Simon was also selected as Google's Student Ambassador to Rwanda because of his demonstrated academic, professional, and personal qualifications.

Simon's commitment to his studies also translates into success in his professional aspirations. This year, Simon was chosen to complete a very competitive and challenging internship at the Clinton Foundation, where he works with the staff to develop a database for tracking the Foundation's projects.

In addition to all of these accomplishments, Simon always has time to suggest new initiatives that can help his colleagues. The best example of this is the ORI Student Newsletter. Simon proposed the idea to ORI last year, and he took the initiative to make the newsletter a reality. Every other month, he works tirelessly to ensure that the newsletter is ready for distribution at the All-Student Meeting. Simon truly embodies the spirit of the ORI program, and our team congratulates him for his achievements!
